A Marriage Resolution Worth Keeping

Couple having fun in field

Make space for laughter and fun

This year, we’re choosing a different kind of resolution for our marriage. A resolution to slow down and truly see one another again. To listen, not just to respond, but to understand. To protect our connection in a world that constantly pulls us in opposite directions. We’re choosing intention.

Marriage doesn’t grow stronger by accident. It grows when two people decide, again and again, to turn toward each other instead of away. To address tension with tenderness. To meet stress with grace. To choose love, especially on days when love requires effort. Not perfection. Not pretending. Not pressure.

Join me, as we focus on:

  • Strengthening our connection

  • Deepening emotional and spiritual intimacy

  • Communicating with honesty and kindness

  • Making space for laughter

  • And above all, recommitting to God as the center of our marriage.

I learned long ago that when God is leading, love has the ability to grow. We all must understand that a strong marriage isn’t built in a single moment. Strong marriages are built in everyday choices.

So here’s our commitment for this year:

  • To keep choosing each other, regardless of what marital season your’re in or the effort required.

  • To keep growing together, creating opportunities to laugh, have fun, and build connection.

  • To keep believing that love, when nurtured, becomes stronger with time.

This year, may our marriages be more connected, more peaceful, and more rooted in love than ever before.
